Terms of service
These terms apply to design services and tool subscriptions from Studio Huit, Lea Filipowicz, Jablonskistraße 21, 10405 Berlin, Germany (“we”). They are written for business customers.
1. Design services. Every project starts with a written offer that names the scope, the deliverables, the timeline and the price. The offer and these terms form the contract. Changes to the scope are agreed in writing and priced separately.
2. Collaboration. You provide content, feedback and approvals in time. If feedback is late, the timeline moves by the same amount. Two rounds of revisions per phase are included unless the offer says otherwise.
3. Payment. Projects are invoiced in stages, usually 50% on start and 50% on delivery; larger projects monthly. Invoices are due within 14 days. Late payment is charged at the statutory rate (§ 288 BGB).
4. Rights. On full payment you receive the rights to use the final deliverables for the agreed purpose, worldwide and without time limit. We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio and on our channels unless we agree otherwise. Concepts that were not chosen stay ours. Typefaces, stock images and third-party software keep their own licences.
5. Tools. Subscriptions to our tools renew monthly or yearly and can be cancelled any time to the end of the current period. We may change or stop a tool with 30 days’ notice; paid time is refunded pro rata if we stop one. You may not resell a tool or its output as a tool. Custom versions are delivered under a separate offer.
6. Liability. We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. Otherwise we are liable only for the breach of essential duties, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract and at most the fee of the project or the subscription year in question. We do not guarantee commercial results.
7. Confidentiality. Both sides keep the other’s non-public information confidential, during and after the project.
8. Folio and Google sign-in. Folio is our own planning and bookkeeping app. It is not offered to customers or the public, and access is limited to people we invite. If you sign in with Google or connect a Google account, we use that only to identify you and, with your permission, to read and create calendar events, as the privacy page describes. You can remove access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Folio is provided as it is, without a warranty of availability.
9. Law and place. German law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Berlin, where legally permitted. If a clause is invalid, the rest stays in force.
